Compare and contrast inflammatory joint pain with mechanical joint pain

A

Inflammatory joint pain is usually sub-acute or acute, unpredictable, worse in the morning, improved with movement, associated with stiffness, swelling may be prominent

Mechanical joint pain is usually chronic, slowly worsening, worse with movement, improved with rest, worse at the end of the day, has little stiffness
