Q

What do Christians believe about Jesus as Lord and saviour

A

Christians refer to Jesus as their saviour
After the fall, relationship between humans and god was broken, all humans born with original sin.
Jesus was sent to earth to take the punishment for all human sin and restore the relationship between god and humans
Jesus came to earth to die and his death was enough to pay for human sin because he was perfect and not effected by original sin

Jesus beat death.
He had the power to do this because he was fully human and fully god

Paul teaches that declaring Jesus as their lord is the route to salvation
Calling Jesus lord means they recognise his divine authority

A

No one is perfect so no one can judge anyone else

Q

What does the narrow gateway symbolise

A

Jesus warns believers about the difficulties of being a Christian

He uses the image of a narrow gate compared to a broad pathway.
The board path leads to destruction. This life is lived wir hour attention to the laws of god. It is the easier path but will not help you become closer to god,

Following the narrow pathway is difficult but the rewards in heaven will be eternal.
