A
- they believe that marriage is permanent
- they don’t believe that marriage can be broken by humans so do not accept divorce
- they believe that it does not break the holy agreement made with god
- they seek to support and guide those going through this process even if they don’t agree with it
- although couples may separate, they should work to restore their marriage
- the Catholic Church allows annulments which means that the promises made in marriage were not valid

What does the Church of England teach about divorce
A
- they teach that couples should try to keep the promises they made in their vows
- divorcees are allowed to remarry but the parish priest has to allow it. They will consider why they got divorced and make a decision
