They sold lots of cotton.
What did Southerners want to do with Western land?
They wanted it to be cheap so that they could grow cotton and find gold to make money (they believed that these were the only things that could keep the economy afloat).

So that goods could be shipped.

He thought that it was to powerful.

Jackson vetoed it; It would have allowed people to become rich (stockholders).
What did the National Republicans change their name to?
Whig party/The Whigs
How would Jackson prove his critics wrong about the bank?
He proved them wrong by removing the national bank. The bank then became useless since everyone used state banks.
How did Jackson put the Bank out of business?
He took all of the money and put it in state banks
What was a side effect of getting rid of the National Bank?
No one went to the national bank so it was finished
