what are the major risk factors for IUGR?
A
- maternal age >40
- > 11 cigarettes per day
- cocaine
- HTN, DM, CVD, renal impairment
- preeclampsia

A
- single course of antenatal corticosteroids

what might be the indication for delivery with IUGR?
A
- reversed end diastolic velocity of the umbilical artery
- non compliance of the umbilical artery

- club foot
- boys 2x
- in 50% it is bilateral

what neuromuscular problems are associated?
A
- cerebral palsy
- spina bifida
- arthrogryposis

how is diagnosis usually made?
A
- can be done after birth or antenatal US scan
- often graded with piraña score 0-6

What is the treatment for talipes?
A
- Surgery used to be common
- but not Ponseti technique is preferred
- This works for 9/10
- if not then surgery
- foot will be smaller
