Preparation for prayer in Islam?

A

1) Muslims are called to pray from the Mosque.
2) Wudu - a ritual washing
3) Muslims wear head coverings - Hijabs to show modesty.
4) Muslims must face the direction of Mecca in prayer.
5) In a mosque, there is a mihrab in the qiblah wall to direct them. Many use a prayer may and the session is led by an imam. Women and men pray in a separate room. All Muslims are focused on God at the same time, it is part of the Muslim community - Ummah.

A

1) Prayer is 5x a day. Throughout the day so Muslims focus on Allah from morning to evening.
2) Sunni Muslims cross their hands while standing in prayer.
3) Sunni Muslims will pray in any clean place regardless of the material.

1) Complete all the prayers but combine afternoon and evening prayers to make 3x a day.
2) Shi’a Muslims do NOT cross their hands in prayer.
