1) Tawhid - belief in the Oneness of God - found in the Qur’an - one of 5 pillars (all Muslims follow this).
2) “no-one is comparable to Him” - monotheism, key belief of the Prophets.
3) Links to the supremacy of God - inshallah (God’s blessing) nothing can happen without is order.
4) Muslims submit to the one God in prayer. All the pillars are based upon Tawhid.
5) Tawhid forms the Shahadah - foundation of faith “There is one God Allah…”
6) Tawhid is found in both the Sunni six articles of faith and the Shi’a five roots of usul ad din.

1) Risalah - belief in prophets - Importance of Adam (first human). Importance of Ibrahims - test of Ishmael, Hajj origins.
2) Risalah - Muhammad, the night of Power, the last and the greatest of the prophets. In the Shahadah.

5) Belief in the Holy Books - especially Qur’an.
6) Belief in Adalat - justice/ Other characteristics of God - omnipotent - God the creator.

5) Night of Power - revelation of the Qur’an

1) “Allah does not burden a soul more than it can bear”
2) Society is more understanding and accommodating of religious needs.
3) Social media can be a positive way to facilitate the promotion of Islamic role models.
4) There are meany concessions to religious practices (exemption from fasting, Hajj only once in a lifetime)
