What is worship?
Praising, honouring or thanking God.
Name the 4 types of worship.
1) Liturgical
2) Non- Liturgical
3) Informal/ Charismatic
4) Private
What is Liturgical worship?
SET structure. Formal service in Church, Priest leads the congregation. Set prayers, readings and hymns.
What is Non-Liturgical worship?
In Church, has hymns and prayers but no set order or number.
What is Informal worship?
Some worship is silent (Quakers). Some is “charismatic” which involves clapping, dancing and speaking in tongues.
What is Private worship?
Christians can worship God in their own homes in their own way.
What is the difference between Infant and Believer’s Baptism?
Infant: Priest or Vicar pours Holy Water over the baby’s head “I baptise you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit”
Believer’s: Here, the person is considered an adult and can make informed choice on their beliefs and religion.
What does Reconciliation mean?
Restoring a relationship with God. To bring people together.

Christian’s believe that humans broke the relationship with God due to SIN. Jesus’ sacrifice helped rebuild and restore the relationship. He atoned for human sin. So humans could be forgiven and can now go to heaven.
What does Good Friday mark?
Jesus was crucified.
What does Easter Sunday mark?
Jesus’ resurrection.
What does Christian Aid do?
Campaigns to end world poverty.
Provides emergency relief of food, water and shelter.
Works across the world to support people whatever race or religion.
Works with other organisations to fight poverty.
