What does transcendent mean?
God is beyond human understanding.
What does Immanent mean?
God is present and involved in all life. Allah is active in the world and guides humans to do the right thing.
What does beneficent mean?
All-loving (benevolent) and All-good.
What does omnipotent mean?
All-powerful.
What does Merciful mean?
Compassion and forgiveness.
What does Fair and Just (Adalat) mean?
Allah always does what is right. He is just in creation, laws and actions. Allah treats people equally and on day of judgement.
What are angels?
Supernatural messengers of God created with light.
Try have no free will and must do God’s work.
What do angels do?
Angels have many tasks such as revealing messages to the prophets, recording people’s actions and reading them from the “book of deeds”, escorting humans to paradise or to hell.
Which angel appeared to Muhammad on the Night of Power and gave him God’s message? This became the Qur’an. The angel guided Muhammad throughout his life.

Which angel is the angel of Mercy? The one that rewards people for the good that they do in their lives. He can bring rain, thunder and lightening to Earth. Whoever is an enemy of this angel is an enemy of God. The angel brings nourishment to humans through rain.

What is Akhirah?
Life after death.
What is Barzakh?
State or waiting - a barrier that prevent people going to the afterlife until they have been judged.
What is the Day of Judgement?
Everyone who has ever lived will be resurrected - people’s “book of deeds” recorded by the angels will be read. Book in right = heaven. Book in left = hell.
What is the Sirat bridge?
After judgement, people will walk across the Sirat bridge where the wicked fall to hell.
What is the impact of Akhirah (life after death)?
Encourages people to take responsibility for their actions, to be accountable for the things they’ve done.
