5 Pillars or Beliefs

A
  1. Shahadah (Profession of faith): They recite “There is no God but God, and Muhammed. And Muhammed is the messenger of God.
  2. Salaht (prayer): They face Mecca towards the east, micmicking when Daniel faced Jerusalem to pray. They go to a Mosque to pray. An IMAM lead them in prayer.

They pray 5 times a day

  1. Shum (fasting): Ramadan is the holy month to fast, pray, reflect, and commune. Stop fasting at the end of the day with a prayer and meal called Iftar
  2. Divine Decree: Believe that God Allah has created the laws of nature and religion. Every matter has been decreed by God.
  3. Prophets: God delivered guidance to humanity through the prophets.
