Biblical Theology
Theology that is based upon the Bible and faithful to the teaching of the Bible
Covenant Theology
Doctrine that believes that spirit is the only theology. Allegorizing and spiritualizing is how it interprets scripture.
Letterism
Takes each word as an isolated truth. Groups context of Bible historical culture setting and grammatical structure.
Exegesis
The drawing out a texts meaning in accordance with the authors contexts what God said is what it is. Greek word, explains to interpret scripture.
Hermeneutics
Study and establishment of the principles by which the sacred Bible is to be interpreted.
Dispensational Theology
Known for its eschatology doctrine. Focuses on pre tribulation. It’s known for its natural and normal reading of Bible. Taken in context and face value.
Normal reading of scripture
It is synonymous with literal reading of scripture. ———- grammatical historical interpretation
Literal interpretation
It asserts that a biblical text is to be interpreted according to the plain meaning conveyed by the grammatical construction and historical context.
Systematic Theology
To attempt to arrange all Christian doctrine in an orderly fashion/structure
Literal Hermeneutics
Usually applied to the interpretation of scripture. Every word written in scripture is governed by its normal meaning of its normal usage.
