What was Disraeli’s opinion on Ireland?
He didn’t think that Ireland was a priority and wanted to crush the resistance. He didn’t want an independent Ireland.
What happened to crops between 1876 -9?
There was a 70% drop in potatoes in Ireland due to another blight, so small farmers suffered, which Disraeli didn’t help at all.

It tried to prevent evictions and give tenants more rights, but because the House of Lords was mostly Conservative they blocked the bill

The Land League became more violent from 1880 - 81 because they didn’t like that it didn’t go through

Suspended Habeas Corpus so main Land League members could by arrested

3 F’s were given to tenants, and independent Irish Land Courts could dictate if the rent was or wasn’t too high and deal with compensation for tenants

Parnell lost the moderate supporters but kept the Radicals after he opposed the ‘Invincibles’ attack on the new Chief of Secretary and his assistant
