1029 Can we modify SI recorded 3 days ago?

A

You cannot modify sub-inventory in past date but can update current sub-inventory. Sub-inventory is closed at 23:59 automatically on the day there was the change and open new sub-inventory at 00:00. Remaining stock of the closed sub-inventory recorded as beginning stock of the new sub-inventory. After Sub-inventory was closed, you cannot edit but you can edit opened sub-inventory and adjust differences.

Q

1077 How does sub inventory works?

A
  • Sub-inventory is daily record of truck inventory
  • Daily records are created 00:00 every day if app successfully sync data of previous day but in case no change is made in stocks for the previous day, it won’t be created
  • Beginning stock is automatically entered from last remaining stock of yesterday.
  • Product added is editable on web *negative number is also allowed
  • Product sold is automatically calculated from sales records on app
  • Remaining stock is beginning stock + product added - product sold
  • Returned qty is not added to remaining stock as we do not know if they are of quality to sell again.

Q

1109 What are the challenges of using Sub Inventory and what would you recommend for customers who want to introduce SI?

A

a) Possible errors and its modifications - both FS / managers make mistakes. Need to check those errors to get a right balance. If it’s notbalanced, it takes time to detect errors
b) Managers needs to input data in a proper timing before FS start to sell
c) FS needs to receive data before they sell. But if there are issues in internet connectivity, they fail to receive data

Q

1187 How can I use SENRI to monitor the stock held by distributor or supermarket?

A

Case 1: Use merchandising report to collect stock by field staff. Maybe you cannot track stock everyday since field staff will not visit every day but you do not need to train and enforce distributor to work with.

Case 2: If you give SENRI web account to distributor, you can ask distributor to upload their stock by csv file to main inventory function but it may only work when distributor use other SENRI functions as well. We have no past experience that distributor upload stock every day as manufacturer requested. It’s always difficult to ennforce them.
