What happens during input
The performer takes in information from the environment through senses, they then focus on relevant information and ignore irrelevant information
Define selective attention
The process of picking out relevant information from display and ignoring irrelevant things
What happens in decision making
The performer compares new information received in the short term memory with info stored in the long term memory. The performer then selects an appropriate response bases on the new information
What happens during output
The decision chosen is sent to the appropriate muscles to complete the skill
What happens during feedback
new information is received based on the success of the skill/action. Feedback will be extrinsic ir intrinsic
Define intrinsic feedback
Feedback that is received from the performer themselves through thoughts or emotions
Define extrinsic feedback
Feedback from external sources e,g, coach
