A
  • obtain baseline kidney and liver function test (low eGFR and high creatinine) and CBC (complete blood count)
  • monitor bleeding time with long-term administration
  • assess for changes in pain, reduction in temp and inflammation
  • assess for GI bleeding
  • use cautiously in elderly pts
