What disease can chronic inflammation cause? How?
Cancer, because chronic inflammation can cause metaplasia (when one type cell is replaced by a different type of cell), dysplasia (an increase in abnormal cell growth), carcinoma in situ (a group of abnormal cells which have not spread from the original site of formation) and then invasive carcinoma (abnormal group of cells which have spread from their site of origins)
Is osteoarthritis a primarily inflammatory disease?
No, it is primarily a degenerative one
Is rheumatoid arthritis a mainly inflammatory disease?
Yes!!! This is DIFFERENT from osteoarthritis
