Inferential testing Flashcards

1
Q

steps of the sign test

A
  1. use plus or minus sign to indicate direction of difference for each p
  2. calculate observed value by counting up the times the less frequent sign occurs
  3. use critical value table and decide if hypothesis in one tailed or two tailed
  4. count how many p’s there are and don’t included omitted results ( THIS IS N)
  5. find critical value
  6. see if less, more or = to significance level
