A

Companies producing essentially supplies for the war effort rather than what they where making before.
Manufacturing and engineering companies for example switched to making weapons and other supplies for the western front.

A

Output was high between 1914 and 1918 with 481 warships being built on the Clyde
There where 40 ship yards across Scotland building many ships for the Royal Navy
Profits where exceptional with some companies such as browns of Clydebank receiving orders worth over £16 million
