A

Reported speaches in parliament and letter pages allowed the public to join the debate

A

Hundreds of petitions where sent to parliament with thousands of signatures
Showed growing strength of public opinion
Where sent to parliament, mps, local men who could vote and the king

Why was the sugar boycott successfull

A

In 1792 400,000 brits boycotted slave grown sugar and grocers reported sales fell by 1/3
Sugar from India where workers where paid grew 10x over 2 years
Boycott proved the action that could be taken when organised and co ordinated action was take
