Practical applications of research- all studies look at understanding disorders, Baron and Cohen research has lead to help for people with Asperger’s 
Both sets of data collected in studies- comparable and allows for understanding of reasonings and meanings

Methodology is sometimes subjective- Freud with Little Hans
Ethics- studies may be with vulnerable groups (socially sensitive)- Gould (racist, informed consent and distress)
