  1. Plate name and date
  2. FP/NFP designation
  3. Confirm navaids
  4. Sector entry hold
  5. Initial track and altitude
  6. DH/MDA and visibility – confirm DH setting
  7. Runway orientation
  8. Circling restrictions
  9. Missed approach procedure
  10. Emergency brief – confirm OEI performance

Line up checks

  1. HDG – confirm RWY HDG on HSI
  2. ALT A – confirm desired alt set
  3. TAC radios – select off (if using ground-based navaids)
  4. Departure type
    a. Procedural SID – once in T/O position, activate departure or ‘direct to’ first point in procedure, verify TERM or DPRT is displayed in GTN
    b. SID (RADAR) – note assigned HDG from ATC, consider setting on HDG bug

Standard departure

A
  1. Standard take-off – cross check instruments prior to entering IMC
  2. At 65KIAS – engage IAS hold, then HDG or NAV
  3. Engage ALT A as required
  4. TOPC
    a. FCLEARM & ensure TAC radios off in mission equipment
    b. Remove any loaded DEP/APP from GTN750
  5. ‘Next event’
