I131 AXEDRA Iobenguane
A therapeutic agent used to treat adults and pediatric patients of 12 years old or older with iobenguane positive scan, unresectable, locally advanced, metastatic pheochromocytoma, or paraganglioma who require systemic anticancer therapy.

For Diagnostic:
- Patients greater than 50 kg, receives about 5 to 6 mCi.
- Patients 50 kg or less, they receive about 0.1 mCi per kg.
For Therapeutic:
- Patients greater than 62.5 kg, receives about 500 mCi.
- Patients 62.5 kg or less, receives about 8 mCi/kg
I131 BEXXAR Tositumomab
: It is a therapeutic regiment used for the treatment of patients with CD20 antigen-expressing relapsed or refractory, low grade, follicular, or transformed non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, including patients with Rituximab-refractory non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
I131 BEXXAR Tositumomab Clinical Pharmacology
Tositumomab is a murine IgG2a lambda monoclonal antibody directed against the CD20 antigen, which is found on the surface of normal and malignant B lymphocytes. Iodine I 131 Tositumomab is a radio-iodinated derivative of Tositumomab that has been covalently linked to Iodine-131. Possible mechanisms of action of the BEXXAR therapeutic regimen include induction of apoptosis, complement-dependent cytotoxicity, and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity mediated by the antibody
I131 BEXXAR Tositumomab Dose & Administration
There are four components of administration in two discrete steps.
The Dosimetric Step:
- Administer about 450 mg of Tositumomab intravenously in 50 mL 0.9% Sodium Chloride over 60 minutes. Administer Iodine I131 Tositumomab, which contains 5 mCi of Iodine-131 and 35 mg of Tositumomab, intravenously in 30 mL 0.9% Sodium Chloride over 20 min.
The Therapeutic Step:
- Administer about 450 mg of Tositumomab intravenously in 50 mL 0.9% Sodium Chloride over 60 minutes. For administer Iodine I131, you need to calculate the dose by determining total body residence time and activity hours.

I131 MIBG Dose & Administration
Intravenous use, administer about 0.5 mCi. For obese adults over 65 kg, the dose should be 0.3 mCi to 1 mCi. For pediatric use, the recommended dose ranges from 0.135 mCi to 0.5 mCi.

The iodide is primarily distributed within the extra-cellular fluid of the body and it is trapped by the thyroid. Trapped iodide is oxidized to iodine and incorporates so rapidly that the iodide trap of the thyroid contains less than 1 percent of free iodide. This process results in further concentration of iodine in the thyroid gland to about 500 times that in the blood.

Oral administration. For thyroid uptake, the dose ranges from 5 uCi to 15 uCi. For imaging, the dose ranges from 50 uCi to 100 uCi.

Use only by, or under the direction of the physician to administer the capsule. The recommended dose is 4 to 10 mCi. Up to 200 mCi is for thyroid cancer patients.
