Gallium Flashcards
What is the half life of Ga67?
78.3 hours (3.26 days)
What are the energies of Ga67?
93 keV, 184 keV, 300 keV, 393 keV
Ga67 Citrate
It is useful to demonstrate the presence and extent of Hodgkin’s disease, lymphoma, and bronchogenic carcinoma.
Ga67 Citrate Clinical Pharmacology
It concentrates in certain viable primary and metastatic tumors as well as focal sites of infection. The mechanism is unknown, but it has shown to accumulate in lysosomes and bound to intracellular proteins.
Ga67 Citrate Dose & Administration
2 - 8 mCi
What is the half-life of Ga68?
68 minutes
What are the energies of Ga68?
Positron = 836 keV, 2x511 keV
Ga68 Dotatate NETSPOT
A diagnostic agent indicated for localization of somatostatin receptor positive neuroendocrine tumors in adult and pediatrics.
Ga68 Dotatate NETSPOT Clinical Pharmacology
Ga 68 dotatate binds to somatostatin receptors, with highest affinity for subtype 2 receptors (sstr2). It binds to cells that express somatostatin receptors including malignant cells, which overexpress sstr2 receptors. Ga 68 dotatate distributes to all sstr2-expressing organs such as pituitary, thyroid, spleen, adrenals, kidney, pancreas, prostate, liver, and salivary glands.
Ga68 Dotatate NETSPOT Dose & Administration
2 MBq/kg of body weight (0.054 mCi/kg) up to 200 MBq (5.4 mCi)
Ga68 Dotatoc PI
A diagnostic agent indicated for localization of somatostatin receptor positive neuroendocrine tumors in adult and pediatrics.
Ga68 Dotatoc PI Clinical Pharmacology
Ga 68 dotatate binds to somatostatin receptors, with highest affinity for subtype 2 receptors (sstr2). It binds to cells that express somatostatin receptors including malignant cells, which overexpress sstr2 receptors. Ga 68 dotatate distributes to all sstr2-expressing organs such as pituitary, thyroid, spleen, adrenals, kidney, pancreas, prostate, liver, and salivary glands.
Ga68 Dotatoc PI Dose & Administration
3 mCi - 5 mCi thru IV for adults
0.3 mCi - 3mCi thru IV for pediatrics
