whilst won the armada… the rest relatively unsuc… leicester = incompetent… so was Anjou
indirect assistance only angered P, never fully committed to the cause
Catholic conspiracy becomes reality… v bad, P’s power incr
W/ France
potential marriage… used to control but anjou relatively unsuc
T of Blois suc… unified their concerns + was renewed
T of Joinville involved w/ Sp… not super suc
Overall, not suc but potential, and good bits cannot be understated
