Q

Why are Severin and Kitty’s experiences at Auschwitz so important to hear?

A

1) By hearing survivors say what actually happened to them, no one can deny that the Holocaust didn’t happen
2) Their stories teach the importance of education. Severin got assigned better jobs due to his education and Kitty’s mother was able to get a good job as a nurse because of her education

What moral messages does the Holocaust highlight for society?

A

One cannot be a bystander. You have to speak out against what you are hearing and seeing in order for it to stop. Being a bystander is just as bad as being a perpetrator
