E.B.V (Ebstein-Barr)

  • B cells infected, associated with Burkett’s Lymphoma (and nasopharyngeal carcinoma)
  • Barr “kissed” a lot of girls in “high school”, gave them “mono”
  • B cells make a lot of antibodies (IgM), which can be detected in blood via heterphile Ab test
  • Spleen can become inflamed bc of T cell response
