Zi Su Zi

Pi Pa Ya

Bai Bu

1. Moistens the LU and stops cough (both acute and chronic cough. Especially useful for cough from deficiency including yin deficiency)
2. Expels parasites and kills lice (apply topically as either a tincture or a decoction for the head or body lice or fleas. Also used as a wash for bacterial vaginosis and as a nightly retained enema for pinworm)

Zi Jin Niu

1. Dispels phlegm and stops coughs while also settling wheezing (most suitable for cough and wheezing dt heat with copious sputum. Can be used as a stand alone herb)
2. Clears heat and promotes resolution of damp heat while reducing jaundice (jaundice dt damp heat. Also used for edema with urinary dysfunction)
3. Invigorates the blood, transforms stasis and alleviates pain (truamatic injury with localized swelling and pain as well as join pain and menstrual irregularities. Stand alone herb. Half wine, half water)

1. Induces vomiting to treat wind phlegm (welling up of phlegm. Also used to induce vomiting shortly after ingestion of poisons)
2. Kills parasites and stops itching (used externally for scapies, tinea, and lice)
