Shi Jun Zi

Ku Lian Pi

1. Kills parasites (primarily roundworms, hook worms, pinworms but also vaginal trichomonas infection. Strong and effective herb and can be used by itself)
2. Also used topically for tinea infections (can be used either as a wash or ground into a powder and made into a thick paste with vinegar)

15-30g in decoctions; 9-15 when dry friend and eaten
1. Kills parasites and reduces accumulations (wide variety of intestinal parasites. It is non toxic and does not harm the ST qi. Has slight laxitive effect. Can be used by itself as antiparasitic herb
2. Moistens the Intestines and unblocks the bowels (constipation, especially when accompanied by hemorrhoids. Can be taken alone, dry fried and eaten)
3. Moistens Lu and stops cough (mild cough dt dry lungs)
He Shi

1. Kills parasites and alleviates pain (many d/o dt intestinal parasites)
Lei Wan
bitter, cold, sl toxic

6-15 *Do not use in decoctions as it contains enzymes which will be denatured and destroyed if heated over 60c)
1. Kills parasites (primarily for tapeworms, but also used for hookworms and roundworms infestations)
2. Opens up areas of stagnation and reduces childhood nutritional impairment (childhood nutritional impairment, especially if accompanied by parasites)
3. Clears heat, resolves dampness, unblocks the yang organs and kills bugs (wind rashes or urticaria when accompanied by damp heat in Intestines and ST)
Wu Yi

1. Kills parasites (expells roundworms and tapeworms. Often used in cases of childhood nutritional impairment or abdominal pain and accumulation dt parasites)
2. Also used topically for tinea infections
Bing Lang

1. Kills parasites (while best for treating tapeworms, it is also used in killing a wide variety of intestinal parasites. The ability of the herb to drain downward helps with the expelling the bodies of the parasites)
2. Promotes movement of qi, reduces accumulation, and leads stagnation out by mildly draining downward and unblocking the bowels (food accumulation or stagnation)
3. Promotes the movement of qi and promotes urination (damp leg qi and edema dt excess)
4. Also used for malaria disorders)
Mian Ma Guan Zhong
bitter, cold

1. Kills parasites (various types of intestinal parasites. Relatively mild)
2. Clears heat and resolves toxicity (warm heat toxin diseases with fire blazing regardless of level involved)
3. Cools the blood and stops bleeding (For bleeding dt hot blood, especially uterine bleeding)
Nan Gua Zi
sweet, neutral LI, ST 30-60 1. Expels parasites and alleviates pain (tapeworms and roundworms. Use as a stand alone herb. Also for schistosomiasis) 2. Also used for insufficient lactation
Da Suan
acrid, warm

1. Kills parasites (hookworms and pinworms. Tinea of the scalp)
2. Disperses abscesses and reduces swelling (primarily early stage sores and abscesses. Used both internally and topically)
3. Resolves toxicity and kills parasites (tinea and other pruritic rashes. Primarily used topically)
4. Warms the ST, strengthens the SP, promotes the movement of qi, reduces stagnation and resolves toxicity (diarrhea and dysenteric d/o dt epidemic toxins or food stagnation. Stand alone for mild food stagnation)
Chang Shan
bitter, acrid, cold, toxic

1. Checks Malaria D/o (Special herb to kill parasites which causes malaria)
2. Induces vomiting to expel phlegm (phlegm collecting in the church)
