3. Reduces abscesses and dissipates swellings (powdered form and applied topically or taken with wine)

1. Calms the spirit, augments the HT qi, and tonifies the HT blood (insufficient HT qi and blood failing to nourish the spirit. Can be used as a stand alone herb)
2. Tonifies the LU qi, transforms phlegm, and stops coughs and wheezing (cough and wheezing in patients wiht cold from deficiency or phlegm dampness. Stand alone)
3. Tonifies the qi, nourishes the blood (deficency consumption with SOB, lack of appetitie, either icy extremities or irritability with a dry mouth)
