Xuan Shen

Mu Dan Pi

Zi Cao
sweet, cold

1. Clears heat, cools the blood, resolves fire toxicity while venting rashes (encouraging rashes to surface or encouraging complete expression of the rash. Often for fire toxin with very dark purple rashes. Also moistens the intestines and promotes urination.)
2. Clears damp-heat from the skin (applied topically for damp heat skin lesions or vaginal itching. Also burns)
