Heparins
Inactivate clotting factors IIa (thrombin) and Xa by binding to antithrombin III; LMWHs and danaparoid have a much greater effect on factor Xa than on thrombin.

Do not use when there is risk of bleeding i.e. active bleeding, stroke.
