- Bosses or scutes e.g. Spiruroidea
- 9) Copulatory bursa e.g. Strongyles
10) Hooks or cutting plates e.g. Hookworms
Morphological features of Platyhelminthes
Usually dorsoventrally flattened e.g. Fasciola spp.
Some conical in shape e.g. Paramphistomes
Somewhat elongate cylindrical e.g. Schistosomes.
Vary from Heterophyses heterophyses about 1mm to a large
form e.g. Fasciola gigantica about 7.5cm.
Characteristically with oval, median ventral and sometimes
