What is a stigma
An attribute that discredits individuals, reducing them to a tainted identity
Examples of a stigmatized condition
Aids/hiv, mental illness, cancer, leprosy, obesity epilepsy

Outcome: Improved mental health literacy and symptom recognition
Explain Protest as a strategy
Aim: object to negative representations
Targets: Opinion leaders, journalists
Outcome: Supress negative attitudes and representation
