Endometrioma

A
Complication of endometriosis (chocolate cysts):
- Endometrial tissue occurs outside of uterine cavity
- Symptoms: Pelvic pain/retroverted uterus/dysmenorrhoea/deep dypareunia
- Investigation - Bimanual/Speculum/Laparoscopy
Treatment:
- Conservative
- Medical: NSAIDS/Paracetamol/Codeine/COCP
- Surgical: Ablation/adhesiolysis/abdominal hysterectomy
