- allows more technical / tactical.

- player can lose concentration.

Physically moving the performers limbs into place or providing support to reduce danger.

- helps eliminate danger.
- helps build confidence.
- reduces fear / anxiety with dangerous tasks.
- helpful for teaching complex skills.

- if overused, can have detrimental effect on performance.
