13
Q

Lamina 2- corresponding nuc and Flow+ function

A

(substantia gelantonosa)

Q

Lamina 3/4- corresponding nuc and Flow+ func

A

(Nucleus proprius)

Mediates pain/temp/touch from lamina 2
contributes to contralat lat spinothalmic tract (pain/temp) and ant spinothalamic tract (crude touch)

Q

Lamina 5/6- corresponding nuc and flow + func

A

(nucleus proprius)

Proprioceptive signals from jnts (medial part recieves direct info while lat gets collaterals to modulate)

Sends info to contralat lateral spinothalamic tract and ant spinothalamic tract

16
Q

Lamina 7- corresponding nuc, flow + func

A

(dorsal nucleus of clarke)

axons go to dorsospinal cerebellar tract (posture signals), below L3 axons cross midline and go to ventral spinocerebellar tract

also functions as general visceral sensation

17
Q

Lamina 8- corresponding nuc, flow + func

A

(commissural nucleus)

recieves axons from vestibulospinal and reticulospinal tracts
-modulates firing of postural muscles

18
Q

Lamina 9- corresponding nuc, flow + func (med and lat)

A

(motor nuclear groups)

Large A and G motor neurons
recieve info from lat corticospinal and rubrospinal tracts

voluntary motor control (med- axial mm, lat upper/lower limbs)

19
Q

Lamina 10- loc, function

A

Porion of gray matter surrounding central cannal

- holds the decussating fibres
