- the problem we often find in using prepositional phrases in our sentences is that we make our verb agree with the object of the preposition instead of the subject of the sentence
- when the prepositional phrase comes between the subject and verb, it can be tricky to make the verb agree with the subject of the sentence and not the object of the preposition
