Tory new look

A

1821-23 stregthened on self reliance over royal favour won over some oppositional Whigs , Wellington Robert peel and William huskieson in 1822 . Seemed to reinvent itself tendency for reactionary to more Liberal ideas. However when looking closer it can still be seen troys held same view old view was would carry out reform as long as it didn’t affect their power. Up til 1822 Parliament was unstable if carried out reform may lead to infiltration of radicals and loss of aristocratic power however when became stronger would therefore be willing to carry out reform would have control make sure no radicals inflitrate parliament
