What is fodder crops ?
Used in the 1950’s turning and swedes that were good for feeding animals in the winter. These also allowed the waste areas to be brought into cultivation.
Manure- maintained textile soil
Use animal dung and town muck, as I sties were becoming more popular waste like soot, ash and soot were used as well.
Used to make land fertile
Artificial fertilisers introduced in 1840

Tile making machine created which allowed drainage more freely and clay lands into more use in the 1770’s

Introduced Leicester sheep and long horn cattle as they could ridicule animal for the market quickly.
