A goal directly related to improving the performance or technique of the activity
E.g. Improve somersault technique
What is an outcome goal?
A goal that is concerned with the end result
E.g. scoring a certain amount of points
How do you make a goal specific?
State exactly what you want to achieve
e.g. Improve speed in 100m by 0.5seconds
How do you ensure a goal is measurable?
Set specific times/distances/amounts that you can physically collect data for
How do you ensure a goal is achievable?
Relate it to what you can already do so it is within your reach
E.g. Improve time in a 5k race by 1minute from 25 to 24 mins
How do you make sure a goal is realistic?
Make sure you have the time and resources to be able to achieve it
How do you make sure a goal is time bound?
Set an end date to achieve it by
e.g. 6 weeks time
