The theory that nations rely on eachother for E,E,P,S reasons
Economical interdependance
Countries rely on eachother for economic growth
Consumers rely on producers
Includes trade, trading relationships(nations actions have consequences), employment (jobs generated in one place by lost elsewhere - global shift UK to Malaysia ) , economic migration, advances in tech(innovation from other countries increases qualuty of products)
E.G. oil companies need flow of labour
Political interdependance
Work together to tackle global issues e.g. covid climate change, migration
Intergovernmental organisations to support global systems and provide stability
Examples of intergovernmental organisations
International monetry fund (international capital flows), World Bank, United nations,(global governance) World peace World trade organisation ( barrier free trade anf fairer access to markets)
Security and stablility ( lead to greater political stability)
Social interdependance
Technological advancements in communications and falling costs of transportation have facilitated international exhcanges and increased interdependnce of societies

Examples of social interpendence
Health- world health organisation has takem the lead in combatting covid-19 by co-ordinating advice on symptoms and vaccines
Education- increases participation in student exchange programmes (ERASMUS in the EU) more uni studying internationally more beneficial for unis higher fees
Culture - Social ties between countries strengthend through migration E.g. large indian diaspora setteled in the UK has deepend the countrys relationship with india economically and culturally
