Four components of a general survey
Physical appearance, body structure, mobility, and behavior
Emaciated; extremely thin
Cachectic
An even fat distribution
Simple obesity
Fat concentrated in face, neck, trunk and with thin extremities
Centripetal (truncal) obesity
A humpback appearance, common in elderly and those with osteoporosis
Kyphosis
The overall emotions the patient expresses; how the patient states that they feel

Difficulty or discomfort and talking caused by laryngeal disease

Distorted speech sound; defect in word choice

Prominent eye sockets, visible face bones, fat and cheeks and chin disappears
Fat from the face, legs, and arms moves to lower part of the body into hip and abdomen area
