Define Co-ordination
Co-ordination is the act of negotiation between two or more parties each vested with the authority to make executive decisions appropriate to the task being discharged.
When is Co-ordination considered effected?
Co-ordination is effected when the parties concerned, on the basis of known intelligence, agree a course of action.
What are the two methods of ATCO co-ordination?
Tactical Co-ordination
Standing Co-oordination
Describe Tactical Co-ordination
Co-ordination of individual aircraft receiving or about to receive an ATS. Can be done either face to face or silent using electronic comms, if detailed in MATS 2.
Describe Standing Co-ordination
Co-ordination implemented automatically on a permanent basis without comms, but in accordance with a written agreement. Details for use in MATS2.
