What is gastritis?
A
Inflammation of the lining of the stomach

Aetiology of Gastritis
A
Infection (most commonly H. pylori), use of pain relievers (aspirin & ibuprofen), alcohol abuse (irritates stomach lining), autoimmune gastritis (Hashimoto’s and T1DM)

Symptoms of Gastritis
A
Indigestion, nausea, emesis, feeling of fullness in upper abdomen

What is Gastroparesis?
A
Delayed gastric emptying, slows and stops the emptying of the stomach to the small intestine, usually caused by diabetes
