A wreath of flowers worn or displayed for fashioin/decoration
We use the same Christmas garland every year

Decorating food using extra items
I like to add a bit of art to my dishes by garnishing extra seasoning on top

The study/science of the earth
That guy used to study marine geology, thus he knows a lot about the ocean
Gesture (noun)
Movements/actions to show expressions
They use a different gesture to show their respect as it is part of their culture
Graphite (noun)
A soft carbon material used for pencil leads
I can’t do my sketching with a pencil that isn’t made from graphite
Grapple (verb)
To fight someone ; To hold on to/deal with something
He would grapple with his enemy by delivering several blows to the head and stomach
I was grappling onto his leg as he tried pulling us up
Grieve (verb)
Feeling sad/sorrow
I couldn’t help but grieve and mourn over the situation
Groggy (adj)
Dizzy/unsteady usually from an illness/injury
You look so groggy, we should go see a doctor
Grotty (noun)
Unpleasant/dirty
Don’t travel through that part of the city, it’s very grotty and not taken care of
Gruelling (adj)
A hard/tiring experience
Walking up this hill is gruelling, you should drink some water
Gypsy (noun)
People who travel around and live in vehicles
You see many gypsies in west Asia and also Egypt
Gatekeeping (verb)
Controlling/limiting general access to something
Don’t gatekeep, spill the beans!
