High mount

A

A dominant position where you’re sat high on the opponent chest with you’re hips pushed in on his sides and push down to stop him from bucking you off. This position is a great area to start a submission especially an arm bar. You can posture up from this position and just sit on you’re opponent or just sit forward with both arms posted out out of reach of youre opponent.

Low mount

A

A dominant position where youre sat low and back on you opponents hips and youre body is pushing most of youre weight into their hips to stop them from bucking you off, youre always low with youre body and again with both arms posted out with and out of reach of youre opponent

Full mount

A

Full mount is the initial position you will move into and you can then start moving and adjusting youre hips to them move into low mount of high mount.

Full mount to Americana

A

When in full mount and the opponent has elbows in tight and hands close to their neck to stop any choking attacks, take two hands on their wrist with your first fingers and thumbs together on both hands and with you thumbs ending up on the bottom of the wrist. Next push their wrist to the floor past their head and push you elbow down on their head and then work youre elbow to the floor by pushing their head out of the way, once you’ve got youre elbow on the floor you can release the grip on your other hand and thread it under their Arm grab your own wrist, then take an over thumb grip with both hand. grabbing a foot inside the opposite leg of your opponent will help with control and stop any bucking. Next pull their arm down towards their feet and lift your elbow that’s next to their elbow causing their elbow to rise, this pressure should cause them to tap.

Low mount to Ezekiel choke

A

when in low mount with your arms on the inside of theirs and your elbows on the floor take your arm under their neck into cross face and grab the bicep of your other arm while its making a bicep curl motion. Next make a fist with the arm without the grip and feed it back and underneath their chin to their throat so that everything tight. Once the chokes in then lean your chest onto your fist and squeeze.

High mount to arm bar

A

Take one hand onto their chest underneath the opponents to arm and then other on the chest on top of their top arm, next twist your hips in the 50/50 motion towards the target arm ( top arm) and put your knee next to the neck of the target arm and hook the other leg round to tuck on the other side of the opponents head and sit back onto the opponent leaning towards their toes. Next get a grip on the target arm and step the other leg through infront of the opponents head and fall so you fall perpendicular to the opponent with their arm gripped in-between youre legs and your legs gripping their arm tight and making sure your hip is tight into their side. If the opponent doesn’t tap at this point then push with the hips.

High mount Americana reversal to rear naked choke

A

after you’ve gone for the Americana and the opponents rolled onto their side you then take both hands holding down the arm you missed to Americana on, then take your arm closest to their shoulder and wrap it under their neck and grab their other arm, next your knee up past youre elbow and sit up the opponent onto you and get both of your hooks in their hips and roll the opponent onto the other side. Once they’re on their side you can then take youre free leg and grab their arm with it and hold it to the side them with youre free arm get a cross face and grab your other bicep and begin youre rear naked choke.

Arm bar switch to the opposite arm (if the opponent grab the attacked arm)

A

After sitting back with the arm bar if the opponent grabs his attacked arm with the other arm grab the elbow of other arm with the inside hand and post out away from the body with your other arm then 50/50 your hips so that your facing the opposite way and go for the arm bar on the other arm, if the same thing happens then repeat. If they grab the attacked arm with the other arm then take your leg close to their hip and place your foot on their bicep and push with your leg and pull with your arm to get the arm back and then attack the arm again.

Full mount Americana to reversal to arm triangle choke

A

Going for the Americana the opponent pulls your arm back that has their wrist and you slip it under their neck then pull their arm you’re attacking across their face whilst releasing the grip on their wrist push your ear up against their head trapping their arm then grip your hands together. Next bring your knee the opposite side your attacking on their knee and your other leg posted out then drop your hips as low as you can and grip your arm right and pull the neck in.

Full mount to triangle choke

A

When In full mount grab the top arm with both hands and place on the floor as if you’re going for a Americana then take the hand closest to their head and place it behind their head and pull their head forward. Next step through with the leg the same side that you’re attacking and tuck it under their neck to move into the triangle, next lean over onto your knee of the leg that’s tucked under their neck and lock your legs together and squeeze

Full mount to arm in choke

A

When in full mount with cross face walk your arm under their armpit slowly up towards their head to cause their arm to raise above their head then grab the tricep if the raises arm to trap their arm with the arm behind their neck then trap this arm further by tucking your head in tight next to the raised arm then grip both arms back together whilst keeping the elbow out on the arm on the outside just incase they try and roll. Next post your leg out on the same side of your head and then bring the knee from the other leg on their belly and slowly walk your legs around towards their head whilst pushing your head the same way theirs tightening the choke, once your knee on their belly is past their hips push your hips closer to the floor to tighten the choke

Full mount to Khabib triangle

A

When in full mount take your arm and feed it in-between the opponents head and arm and then slide your same side knee up and pull back on your elbow and trap the opponents arm inside your elbow and knee, next grab the opponents other arm and push it into their chest and step over with your other leg over and around their body so that your ankle ends up under the opponents neck, next grab your ankle with the opposite side hand and keep it pulled tight to the opponents head to keep him trapped then roll onto you back so your opponent ends up on top of you whilst keeping hold of your ankle. From here you can put your free leg on the opponent hip and push off to create an angle for you to lock the choke in on you can lock the choke in whilst your in line with your opponent and underhook inside to opponents leg and use the underhook to the create an angle to tighten the choke.

High mount to Japanese arm bar

A

When on top of the opponent in high mount and your opponent has their arms crossed take hold of their arm that’s furthers away from your body and make sure their thumb is pointing away from your body, next pull their arm in close to your groin area and extend you hips the same way you would in a traditional armbar to finish
