FSG App Flashcards
What does the FSG app display?
All FSG calls received by Control, in one place.
Where can the FSG app be found?
On all appliance tablets (so at the bridgehead and on Command Units), and at Control (via a website).
Is the FSG app integrated with Vision?
Yes.
How many FSG calls are required to make an incident ‘multiple FSGs’?
Three or more.
What does the FSG app icon look like on appliance tablets?
A blue square with a white building to the left, a white clipboard centre and a white phone top right.
If the keyboard doesn’t automatically appear when logging in to the app, what physical button should be pressed?
The A2 button.
What actions carried out in the app are auditable?
All actions. Everything you do in the app can be reviewed at a later date.
How often should the app update its data, and how will you know this is working?
Every five seconds.
There is a box in the top left of the app display which tells you how long ago the data was refreshed. It also has a green border when there is a good connection.
What must happen when the person using the app changes?
The old user must log out and the new user must log in, for audit purposes.
What is the only column in the app that can be changed by a user?
The ‘Status’ column. All other columns are fed directly from the mobilising system.
Which two boxes can you tap on to acknowledge a new FSG call?
Either the TOC box or the Status box. This will make the ‘New Call’ icon disappear.
Do you still need to communicate with Control if an FSG is resolved on the app?
Yes, you should still confirm the outcome with Control.
Control Information Forms and the FIB should also still be filled out in case of total signal loss.
What handheld radio channel is used for passing FSG information (e.g. between the FSGP and the bridgehead)?
Channel three.
You have the Status pop-up box on screen to select that you have deployed a crew. You notice that the box indicating connection and refresh time in the top left of thr screen has a red border and reads more than five seconds. What does this mean?
Nothing; data is not refreshed while a pop-up box is open.
