How do you create a pardot form?
Content > form
Step 1: name
- name form
- select folder
- select campaign
- click next
Step 2: fields
- add new field > click + add new field
- use the tool icon to edit, rearrange, delete fields
- click next
Step 3: look and feel
- choose a layout template
- enter the text for the submit button
- on the above form tab, enter the content that appears above your form fields
- on the below form tab, enter the content that appears below you form fields
- on the style tab customise the look and feel of your forms elements
- on the advanced tab, configure how your form behaves, how it tracks prospect activities, and how it protects against spam bots
- click next
Step 4: conpletion actions
- on the thank you conten tab, enter the content that displays after the prospect submits the form
- on the thank you code tab, enter cose that you want to run after form submission
- add completion action
- click next
Confirm and save form
What steps can you do if you don’t want your form to live on a landing page?
You can place the form on your website using an iframe.
Content > form
Select form > click the arror and select view HTML code
Copy the iframe code and paste into your web page source code
What is kiosk / data entry mode?
It allows a sumbit a for multiple times without causing visitor association.
Where would you use kiosk mode?
At a trade show where prospects fill out forms on the same screen.
When you manually enter prospects data into a form from a signup sheet.
Where would you enable the kiosk mode?
Its on a per-form basis

How to edit a field on a form?
Open the form for editing
Click fields tab
Next to the field that you want to edit > click the pencil icon
Make yiur changes and save field when you’re done
Why would you customize a form’s fields?
Seasonal campaign
Change the value in a dropdown box for a specific use
What are the basic tab form fields options?
Label - the label for the field that appears in the form.
Prospect fields -
Load default data - loads the field’s global settings
Type - the fields data type - text number etc
Data format - specifics which format the prospect enters data
Required - makes field required
What are the advanced tab form fields options?
Error message - empty or invalid
CSS classes - enter a class tonuse for specific css in the layout template associated eith your form.
Description
Always display even if previously completed - use for fields for which the prospect can submit the samw value more than once.
Do not pre fill - use for fields that are set to always display and that you dint want to be prefill with a previous value
Maintain the initial value upon subsequent form submissions - retains the initial field value when the prospect submits more forma with different values for the same field.
What are the values tab for form fields options?
The values tab is available only for checkbox, radio button and dropdown fields.
Prefill with - value from the dropdown
A icon - display an alternate value on the form. The original value appears in the prospect record
Grid icon - assign a profile to the prospect when the prospect selects the value
+ icon - adds prospects who select the value to the designated list
What is the progressive tab form field options?
Show this field only if the prospect alreadt has data in the following fields
What are the dependent tab form fields option?
Display other fields in this form based on the value of this field
When this field equals - value triggers the dependent field
Show this field - field to display when trigger value is entered
Who can edit global field settings?
Only admins
When editing a fields global settings, does existing forms fields update?
No. To pull the new settings, edit the field on the form and load the default data

What are pardot’s default prospect fields character limits measured in?
Bytes - is a unit of a digital information that most commonly consists of 8 bits.

What are the default field settings for prospect global fields?
Name - change field name prospects see on the form
Tags - tags to organise custom fields and other items
Salesforce field name - sync the field with a salesforce field. Default fields are automatically mapped
Keep this fields type and possible value (for dropdown, radio buttons, checkboxes) in sync with crm
Sync behaviour- this option controls your sync behaviour
Set a defaukt mail merge vakue to be ised when this filed does not have a value - default value to populate varible tags when a prospect field is empty.
Use pre-defined values (radiobuttons , drop down)
Validate on import - only import when accepted values are met. Compare import values to predefined values.
Type - changes the data type
