what are the two types of car safety features?
passive and active
what are passive car safety features?
they are designed to make the driving experience more comfortable to avoid the driver getting distracted whilst on the road, reducing risk of accident.
what are active safety features?
they are designed to protect the vehicle’s occupants in the case of collision by slowly absorbing the vehicle’s kinetic energy which is done in two ways:
- extending the collision time
- reducing the force acting on the occupants
