Q

force (F)

A
  • push or pull
  • vector
  • forces cause acceleration
  • bigger force = bigger acceleration
  • smaller accelerates with the same amount of force than the bigger object
  • mass*acceleration

Q

Newton’s Second Law of Motion

A
  • force = mass*acceleration
  • cause of motion is force
  • effect is that things start to move around
  • the acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object.
